  • INFORMATION ON THE AUTHENTICATION OF DOCUMENTS ISSUED BY INDIAN AUTHORITIES

     

    Indian public documents (judiciary documents, administrative documents, notarized documents, and official certificates) need to be APOSTILLED in order to be considered legal in Poland.

     

    The APOSTILLE STICKERS are affixed by the CPV Division of Ministry of External Affairs, Patiala House, New Delhi – 110001 on all original Indian documents. For details on the procedure please check: http://www.mea.gov.in/legalization-of-documents.htm

     

    Attestation of a passport copy:

     

    Copies of all the passport pages (including cover page of the passport). Please note that original passport must be submitted along with the copies.

     

    If attestation will be submitted by an authorized person, the letter must include address and contact details of that authorized person.

     

    Fees for passport copy attestation: INR 2500/-

     

    Please note that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi does not accept any Indian documents for authentication/legalization.

     

     

    EXAMPLES:

     

    • the university in Poland requires legalized/apostilled educational certificates in the admission procedure – contact the Indian Ministry of External Affairs;
    • you are applying for a student visa to Poland  – check www.newdelhi.mfa.gov.pl  for the list of required documents and contact the Indian Ministry of External Affairs;
    • you are applying for the dependant visa and your spouse’s name is not endorsed in your passport – contact the Indian Ministry Of External Affairs.

    Legalization

    The legalization procedure has 2 steps:

     

    Authenticate/attest/legalize the original documents in the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

     

    Bangladesh:

    Legalize the attested original documents in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi:

    -          submit/send the original documents to the Consular Division of the Embassy,

    -          pay the fee for each document – for information on the fees please check:

    Basic documents required for Legalization of documents -

     

    1. Request letter written and signed by the applicant, mentioning the contact details (address, email and contact number) of the applicant.
    2. Passport copy

    In case the document for legalization is submitted by an authorized person, an authorization letter (mentioning the name and contact details) is required.
